My name is Arun Tamu. I was at home on Sunday morning. The site where the plane crashed is not far from my house. Suddenly we heard a loud sound. After that, when we rushed to the scene, we were the only people from the village. It took some time for the police to come but we started the rescue effort.
When we saw that the flight was burning, we brought water in buckets and tried to douse the fire, but the bucket water was not enough. When the police came, they started to rescue. We also took out 10-12 people, two of them seemed to have shortness of breath. It was difficult to go into the place where the plane had fallen.
We are not likely to jump into the fire either. Also, there is risk of being swept away by water as the plane had fallen on the bank of the Seti River. The bush was also overgrown as it had not been cut for a long time. We were afraid that we would fall in the gorge while rescuing.
