NA Lieutenant Colonel Rupakheti found dead in Jumla

JUMLA, Dec 26: A senior officer of Nepal Army (NA) was found dead in Jumla.

NA Lieutenant Colonel Anjan Rupakheti was found dead hanging in the bathroom, according to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Madhav Shrestha at Karnali Province Police Office Surkhet. Rupakheti was serving in the 24 Bahini of the Nepali Army.

According to the SSP Shrestha, preparations are being made to send the body of Rupakheti for post-mortem after the arrival of his family members. A team of the District Security Committee led by the Chief District Officer had earlier reached the incident site. 

Police informed that further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
