As mercury dips, MFD urges people to take necessary precautions to avoid cold

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is generally clear in the country, with light showers at a few places in the hilly areas of the country.

This afternoon, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of Province 1 and Gandaki Province as well as partly cloudy in Lumbini Province. Tonight, the weather will be generally clear in Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, while the rest of the region will be partly cloudy.

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility that there will be fog in the Terai and the temperature will gradually decrease in most parts of the country, so the MFD has requested everyone to take necessary precautions to avoid cold.
