WALING, Dec 1: CPN-UML candidate Padma Kumari Aryal has continued her lead in the vote counting in Syangja constituency 2.
Aryal has left her closest contender, Nepali Congress Central Vice-President Dhanraj Gurung behind by 11 votes.
According to Returning Officer Ramchandra Sharma, out of a total of 6,826 votes counted, UML candidate Aryal has obtained 2,920 votes while NC candidate Gurung received 2,909.
Likewise, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Tikraj Gurung is in third position with 589 votes.
Vote counting began in Syangja-2 last night 10 days after the election was held.
Likewise, UML candidate Mohan Regmi has so far obtained 3,102 votes in Syangja constituency 2(1) whereas his rival NC candidate Bhojraj Aryal got 3,091 votes.
