KATHMANDU, Nov 30: One term of the federal parliament has been completed. With the election of the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the provincial assemblies on November 20, the second term of the federal parliament is about to begin. The results of the election held on November 20 are still coming in from different parts of the country. In most places, the election results have already been announced.

Looking at the election results, no one party has won enough seats to form the government. The government formed under the leadership of one of these two parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML is sure to be a coalition government with the support of the other parties. As the voting results have reached the final stage, there is a curiosity in the general public - what will happen to the bills registered in the federal parliament?

Dashrath Dhamala, assistant spokesperson and information officer for the Federal Parliament Secretariat, said that some of the bills registered in the Federal Parliament have become inactive while others are under consideration. He said that the bills that originated in the House of Representatives and were under consideration in the lower house have become inactive. He also said that deliberations on the bills that originated in the National Assembly and are under consideration in the upper house, will begin with the commencement of the new session of the National Assembly.
