This is the third armed group Paswan has formed under his own leadership. Initially, he had headed the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha. He then split from the party and formed the Janatantrik Madhes Mukti Tigers with himself as its head. Over time, he was removed from the leadership of both parties due to internal feuds.
According to a statement issued by Paswan, he formed the new party at a general convention held at an unknown location in Bardiya District.
He has declared himself supreme commander of the armed group and nominated Ram Kumar, Chetan Madhesi, Subash Chandra, Tufan Singh and Bhagat Singh as politburo members.
