KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Janmajaya Timilsina of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected as a provincial assembly member from Bardiya 2A.
Timilsina, who is also a central committee member of the Nepali Congress, won by a margin of 5,067 votes. While his closest rival Pradesh Choudhary of Nagarik Ummukti Party received 12,184 votes, Timilsina secured 17,251 votes to win the seat.
Likewise, CPN-UML's Lahanu Chaudhary finished third with 10,643 votes, while Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s (RPP) Kanhainalal Tharu secured 5,324 votes.
