CHITWAN, Nov 13: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the current coalition of the five parties will continue as long as the risk of regression remains in the country.

Addressing an election assembly in Chitwan organized by the left-democratic alliance on Saturday, Dahal reiterated that the existing alliance was formed against regression.

Stating that the coalition was formed in defense of the constitution and republic, the Maoist Center chairman added that the regressive forces that attempt a political mishap would be defeated after the victory of alliance candidates.

Terming the upcoming election as a referendum, he argued that this is time to vote choosing either progression or regression.

On the occasion, Dahal claimed that the alliance will win with an overwhelming majority.

Dahal was of the view that attacks have been made by the signatory parties themselves on the constitution.

On the occasion, he shared that he had an opportunity to share a development model in Chitwan after his victory in the last election and added that several projects have been implemented in Chitwan.

He stated that his remaining life is for the development and economic prosperity of the people.

Also speaking at the election assembly, CPN (Unified Socialist) Vice Chairman Keshav Lal Shrestha called for honesty among the parties in the coalition.

Executive Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha Rashmi Raj Nepali said that the alliance candidates should be made victorious for a stable government and nation’s prosperity.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Dila Sangraula promised to amend the laws that are discriminatory against women.
