KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The process of recording the details of the candidates who registered their candidacies for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies under the first-past-the-post system is underway, according to the Election Commission.
The candidates' details will be recorded in the EC's information system. According to the latest data with the EC, under the HoR, a total of 2,502 candidates (2,269 males and 233 females) registered their candidacies, said EC Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel.
Likewise, for the provincial assembly elections, a total of 3,435 candidates (3,139 males and 296 females) registered their candidacies. One can file complaints against the candidates with the respective office of returning officer by today.
