Chairman Oli gifts handful of coins to Rabindra Mishra as they hold a ‘political meeting’

KATHMANDU, August 29: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli  and media person turned politician Rabindra Mishra held a meeting on Sunday evening.

On Monday, Mishra tweeted that he had a meeting at Oli's residence Balkot at 6 PM on Sunday.

Leader Mishra said that he had a meeting with Chairman Oli for two and a half hours. During the meeting, he said that they talked about upcoming elections, contemporary politics and geopolitics of the country, foreign interests and interference, necessity and irrelevance of monarchy.

They also discussed Oli's political journey, prison life and the pain of Golghar, the difficulties he faced before passing the new political map of Nepal and a number of other issues.

He wrote on his Twitter:

Two and a half hours with Oli!

"How can you do so many things from religion to culture to geography and history" I asked. "I still study at least an hour before going to bed at night," he said. As some of his colleagues told me, Chairman Oli does not sleep until 12:01 AM His energy and passion are unique. The meeting with Oli at his residence in Balkot, which was scheduled for 6PM yesterday, lasted for two and a half hours.

The upcoming elections, the country's politics and geopolitics, foreign interest and interference, the need and irrelevance of the monarchy, his political journey, prison life and the pain of Golghar, the difficulties he faced before passing the new political map of Nepal and a number of other topics were discussed.

Chairperson Oli, who could speak fluently on all subjects, said to me "You came from playing chess and are now on the basketball court, where there is all the trickery. However, you should not panic."

At the end, he brought a handful of one and two rupee coins from another room, which was minted when he was prime minister, along with the new map of Nepal and gifted it to me. I left feeling grateful for the meeting!”
