KATHMANDU, August 28: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started demolishing the illegal structures built above the underpass (subway) at Bhotahity-Ratnapark. The Kathmandu municipal police have started demolishing the illegal structure built along the underpass connecting Bhotahity and Ratnapark.
According to the Metropolis, all (excluding seven) shops inside the subway will be removed as they are illegal. In this subway, shops have been placed by adding wooden structures making it difficult for pedestrians to walk.
All those structures will be removed, the Metropolis said. Of late, KMC has started a campaign to demolish illegal structures built across the city.
