8 injured in Panchthar jeep accident

PANCHTHAR, Jan 14: Eight people were injured when a Jeep, Me 1 Jha 2546, heading for Birtamod from Taplejung met with an accident on Saturday.

The accident took place at Phidim - 5 along Mechi Highway when the jeep veered off the road and fell down the road due to dew on the road.

The injured are driver Dewan Dorje of Nyangkholyang of Taplejung, Naina Karki, 50 of Taplejung, Rudra Lowa of Yangnam-1 in Panchthar, Roshan Limbu of Taplejung, Saroj Khanal of Solma in Terhathum, Chunab Khadka of Morang, Prem Bahadur Khadka and Jivan Khadka.

Among the injured, driver Dorje and Karki are in serious health condition.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Panchthar Hospital. For further treatment, six people have been referred to other hospitals.
