KATHMANDU, August 15: Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, has said that the current politics on garbage disposal is a game to discredit Mayor Balendra Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City by not allowing him to manage the waste of Kathmandu. He said this while speaking at a Province 1 meeting of his party in Itahari.

He said that it is a conspiracy to defame Balen to prove that independents or newcomers cannot do anything. "We will not allow Balen to fail under any circumstances, we are ready to do whatever is necessary for that. If Balen fails, then a disgusting political game has started to make other independents unable to do anything," he said.

Lamichhane said that the National Independent Party must come to power for the success of the young politicians who have been elected by the people.
