DADELDHURA, May 25: At least 13 persons were injured in lightning strikes in the inner Madhes region of Dadeldhura.
The lightning strikes which struck during a thunder storm on Thursday night injured eight from Chela area of Parshuram municipality – 6 and five from Sadhani area, police said.
The injured have been identified as Regma Devi Bohara, 23, Karna Dhami, 45, Harina Damai, 27, Lalita Dhami, 19, Beladebi Dhami, 45, Maya Devi Dhami, 25, Sabina Dhami, 12, Dhauli Devi Dhami, 70, from Parshuram – 6 and Dhan Raj Bhatta, 14, Ratnadevi Bhatta, 50, Harish Bhatta, 13, Janakraj Bhatta, 45, and Laxmi Bhatta, 17, of Parshuram – 7, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chakra Raj Joshi of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura.
The condition of Bela Devi Dhami and Maya Devi Dhami is reported to be critical. The injured are being treated at the Jogbudha Hospital. RSS
