MAKWANPUR, Oct 24: At least 13 pilgrims who came to visit Nepal from India were injured in a vehicular mishap in Makwanpur.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of Makwanpur Laxmi Bhandari said that a Tata Sumo (Madhesh Pradesh 03-001 Ja 0283), en route to Kathmandu from Birgunj, went out of control and crashed on the inner road section of Kulekhani-Matatirtha Kathmandu in Makaibari, Indra Sarovar Rural Municipality-5 at 3:30 AM this morning.

The vehicle tumbled approximately 20 meters below the road, leading to the apprehension of the driver, Anil Kumar Shah, 25, hailing from Kalaiya municipality-21 in Bara district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhandari noted that all the injured passengers on the Sumo were Indian pilgrims who were sent to Kathmandu for medical treatment.
