RASUWA, Nov 24: Two days ahead of the elections for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly, attacks have spread in Rasuwa. Yesterday, there were two attacks in two different places of the district.

At Chiuribot of Kalika rural municipality-2, cadres of Naya Shakti stopped a vehicle of CPN-UML and attacked those inside. Immediately after being informed, the police reached the spot. “The police initially tried to console all. However, when Naya Shakti cadres seemed to attack the police, the latter responded with 13 air shots, Sarat Kumar Thapa, the Deputy Superintendent of Police said.

The vehicle carrying UML cadres suffered minor damage. Cadres of the democratic alliance also attacked Karnel Lama’s house at Syafrubesi of Gosaikunda rural municipality. Lama is the candidate for Provincial Assembly from CPN-UML.
