Nepali student in Tokyo commits suicide

TOKYO, Jan 9: A Nepali migrant on Monday committed suicide in the capital city Tokyo of Japan.

A Nepali youth who had gone to Japan two years ago for higher study committed suicide by hanging himself in his own room.

John Lama, 32, originally from Paknajol, Kathmandu, was found hanging in his room at 6 pm today.

Lama, who was rushed to a hospital for treatment, was pronounced dead by doctors in the course of treatment.

Japan police has confirmed Lama’s death due to hanging, Vice Chairman of NRN Japan Chapter Tashi Lama told Republica Online.

The reason of Lama’s committing suicide is yet to be identified. Police are investigating the case.
