KATHMANDU, June 15: Former journalist Rabindra Mishra has refuted media reports about him joining the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
Mishra who recently resigned from the post of Bibeksheel Sajha Party president, wrote on his Facebook wall that the news reports about him joining RPP are false. He wrote that the country is in a dire need of a 'moderate conservative' party to lead the country and lead the spirit of Nepali society. He mentioned that after the 'perverted leftistization' of a major party of the country, that 'space' in Nepali politics is completely empty.
“I have not hidden the fact that I am already in favor of unification / polarization to build a transformative force on the basis of 'nationalism' to balance society and politics and to save this country from a growing geopolitical turmoil,” he wrote. “However, me alone joining a certain party will not make that possible. But I will continue to be interested in any kind of integration / unification/ polarization that will build a strong power.”
