KATHMANDU, June 7: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale has accused some leaders of his party of trying to defame him.

Laying the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Bishwarupa Temple and the surrounding area organized by the Pashupati Area Development Trust, Minister Ale said some leaders within the party were trying to discredit him. Stating that he has no greed to become a minister, he urged the CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to appoint another minister if he wanted to give a chance to other leaders. Minister Ale also expressed his commitment to work without letting the country and the people down until he is a minister.

Minister Ale said that the Pashupati Area Development Trust had won the case three times from the District court to the Supreme Court by filing a case against the Dharamshala occupied by Batas Group. Adding that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given Rs 250 million for Hindus living in the country and abroad to get cheap accommodation and food facilities when they come to worship in Pashupatinath, Minster Ale said that he could not give Pashupati's Dharamshala to the Batas group at a low price.
