KATHMANDU, April 9: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rajendra Lingden has alleged the major political parties including Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, and CPN (Maoist Center) had failed to run the country.
Stating that the country was in the grip of an undeclared alliance of incompetent leaders, Chairman Lingden said that the NC, UML, and Maoist Center are not in position to develop the country. “Make the RPP win in the upcoming elections. We want honest politics and development of the country,” he said while addressing a mass gathering organized by the party in Kathmandu on Friday.
Chairman Lingden argued that corruption was rampant in the country because of incompetent governments and leaders. He said that more than 1,500 people have to go abroad for employment every day as there is no employment in the country.
Chairman Lingden also said that the party is not disappointed by the failure of the political parties. “But we are concerned about the way the country is headed toward. Although the other parties failed to make progress, the RPP will not have any excuses for failure,” he further said.
The RPP organized a political rally at the open air theater at Tundikhel keeping in view of the upcoming local-level elections.RPP Chairman Lingden, former chairman and former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand, former Chairman Pashupati SJB Rana and other senior leaders including Prakash Chandra Lohani were among those present in the rally.
