JANAKPURDHAM, March 11: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that his party will go to the polls by forging an alliance with the ruling coalition parties. He said that in the current situation, any party that goes to the polls won’t get a majority because of which discussions are underway to maintain the current alliance till the polls.
At a certificate distribution program for the newly-elected office-bearers of Nepali Congress(NC) Parsa chapter in Birgunj on Thursday, Prime Minister Deuba said, "This alliance formed to protect the constitution and democracy will not be broken.”
Stating that securing majority votes in the election is impossible in the current situation, the ruling alliance will face the polls together. "It is not possible for any party to win a majority by contesting the elections alone. Therefore, the NC should contest the elections together with the coalition parties,” he said.
