KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the current coalition government will continue until the next elections.

‘Democratic communist forces’ would come together in the next elections, said the former Prime Minister at a press conference in Kohalpur in Banke on Thursday.

Stating that dialogues between the ruling parties and others on the Millennium Challenge Corporation project were underway, the former Prime Minister ruled out reports of the possibility of breaking the alliance just because of the project. “The CPN (US) does not accept any project trying to do something else in the name of economic development, though it easily accepts every agreement that is in the interest of the country,” he said.

Saying that they rebelled for safeguarding the constitution, democracy and republic, he maintained that “regressive forces would stand in the way to success”, hinting at the opposition CPN (UML).

The CPN (US) will emerge victorious in the next elections as the party is at work to win the trust of the Nepali people, he claimed.

On the occasion, the CPN (US) chair welcomed the former deputy secretary of the CPN (UML), Banke, Pramod Dhital into his party.
