KATHMANDU, Nov 24: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the disputes seen in the judiciary should be resolved by the judiciary itself.
Speaking with media personnel at the Dhangadhi Airport on Wednesday, Dahal said that the coalition government has been quiet on the topic as they also want the judiciary to solve its disputes without any intervention from outside.
As the judiciary has not been able to solve its problems, the coalition will discuss plans for the issue and move ahead with it. “Our belief is that the problem in the judiciary should be resolved by itself. The coalition will make a decision regarding the issue very soon,” Dahal said.
Earlier, Dahal had claimed that the disputes of the judiciary would be resolved in a day or two. However, lawyers affiliated to Nepal Bar Association have intensified their protests even further, demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana.
Dahal also claimed that the five-party alliance will be given continuity until the upcoming election. “Decisions have been made to run for the parliamentary and provincial elections together. I urge everyone not to believe in any fake news regarding the coalition.
Stating that Nepal is not rejecting the Millenium Challenge Corporation, Dahal said that he has requested the Foreign Minister of the US to amend the MCC to its original agreements. Dahal said that he wants a correct answer to his question.
On another occasion, when asked about the election of Sudurpaschim Province’s leadership, Dahal said that the distribution of ministries has not been decided yet. He is attending an inauguration program of newly constructed buildings at Bhajani Municipality in Kailali.
