TAMGHAS, Oct 26: Secretary of CPN-UML Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said that the split of the party has not affected the UML in any ways.
Addressing the party’s first convention of Resunga Municipal Committee, former foreign minister Gyawali said that the majority of the cadres and people’s representatives are against the party’s division.
Stating that only 23 percent of the members from the party’s central committee and seven percent of the members from the local levels had changed their allegiance to the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist), Gyawali said that he was happy, knowing that not a single representative from Gulmi had left the party and those who had earlier left the party are also in the process of returning to the UML.
