12 succumb to COVID-19 on Saturday

KATHMANDU, September 11: As many as 12 people succumbed to COVID-19 on Saturday. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 10,936. 


Similarly, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) recorded 994 new cases of COVID-19 along with 1,638 recoveries on Tuesday.

A total of 9,840 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them, 777 PCR tests and 217 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.


There are currently 27,355 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 25,708 are in home isolation, 1,647 in institutional isolation, 456 in ICUs and 122 on ventilators. Similarly, 317 are living in quarantine facilities.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 357 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Of them, 230 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 42 in Bhaktapur and 85 in Lalitpur districts.
