12 more COVID-19 patients discharged after recovery

KATHMANDU, June 3: Twelve more COVID-19 patients have been discharged after recovery from various hospitals across the country on Wednesday.

Dr. Bikash Devkota, spokesperson for Ministry of Health and Population said that one each from National Public Health Laboratory, Teku (from Kathmandu) and COVID-19 Unified Hospital, Balambu (from Rautahat) has discharged after recovery.

Also, five patients from Janakpur Hospital (from Dhanusha, Mohatarri and Sarlahi) and one from T.U Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj (from Kapilvastu) were recovered from COVID-19.

Similarly, four patients from Butwal Hospital (from Argakanchi and Kapilvastu) have also been discharged after recovery.

With 48 recovered patients in Province 1, 109 in Province 2, 31 in Bagmati Province, 3 in Gandaki Province, 80 in Province 5, and 7 in Far Western Province, Nepal's COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 278.

4924 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests were conducted in last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Population this afternoon confirmed 201 new cases of COVID-19 taking the national COVID-19 tally to 2300 including 9 fatalities.
