According to police inspector Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari, who visited the accident site, Janga Bahadur BK, 60, and his wife Asarfi, 58, Bakhat Bahadur Chhetri, 75, and his son Bikash Chhetri, 34, Santu Pariyar, 25, Min Bahadur BK, 48, and Tek Bahadur BK, 40, Bhim Bahadur GC, 30, Junu Gurung, 26, and Sanu Gurung, 30, all from Lwangghale VDC died in the accident.
Ichha Bahadur Gurung, 21, from the same VDC who was injured in the accident is receiving treatment Gandaki hospital while another injured Saraswati Adhikari, 21, of Dhital-4 has been admitted to Manipal hospital. Both of them are critically injured, said the police.
Of the 16 people in the jeep, two escaped the accident.
