GALESHWOR, Oct 18: Farmers are worried after the rain damaged their paddy crop.
Bhim Bahadur Karki, a farmer of Bagarphant, Beni Municipality-2, said that he has not been able to make any reaction after the paddy has been rained down and other plants have also been destroyed completely. '`What will we eat all year round now? All our crops are destroyed by rain?” he complained.
Farmers said that damage has been caused in Jamarukkot, Khawra, Bagarphant, Phulachaur, Sim, Babiyachaur, Arman and other places of the district. Similarly, the winter has increased with the rains. Ekvir Gharti of Rum informed that there were signs of snowfall in the upper area.
Sudhan Sapkota of Jamarukkot said that the rural roads of the district were flooded due to the incessant rains. “The roads are flooded. We can’t go to Beni,” said Devi Thapa of Beni-1's Arjam. “Vehicles are also not able to operate.”
