KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Bagmati Chief Minister Asta Laxmi Shakya is taking a vote of confidence in the provincial Assembly today (Sunday).
After her government fell into minority with the split of the ruling CPN-UML, the Shakya-led government had to take a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly.
Shakya who is said to be a part of the Madhav Nepal-led faction in the UML chose to stay with the CPN-UML even as Nepal registered the CPN (Unified Socialist) party at the Election Commission.
The Shakya-led government is in minority after 13 UML members chose to be part of the Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist) in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. She is going to take a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly meeting to be held at 3PM on Sunday.
