KATHMANDU, Oct 5: The next hearing on the Lalita Niwas land scam case against former Prime Ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai has been scheduled for November 1.
The decision was made by a joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana and Justice Nahakul Subedi.
After hearing on the case against the former prime ministers held on Monday, the join bench decided to announce the verdict on the case at the next hearing scheduled for November 1.
Senior advocate Bal Krishna Neupane had filed a case at the Supreme Court seeking an order to prosecute both the former prime ministers.
If the writ is issued as per the petition, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority will have to re-investigate the role of former prime ministers Nepal and Bhattarai in the Lalita Niwas land scam case.
