Among the 246 projects signed by the DDC for their implementation in Bhaktapur district, some 128 projects are on operation and 118 have been completed. [break]
Though these projects were executed with the DDC’s grant assistance worth Rs. 160 million, right-holders and users have voiced dissatisfaction towards the projects.
Participating stakeholders at a public hearing programme organized by DDC Bhaktapur in coordination with Rakta Sanchar Club on Thursday made public their dissatisfaction and grievances.
They accused that the development works have not been result-oriented when development budget is made a pie of share among the political parties.
Development budget has not been productive with the mechanism of political parties merely receiving high chunk of allowances without getting themselves involved in monitoring of development activities, said Som Sharma Bajgain of Telkot who was participating the public hearing.
