KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The probe committee formed to find out truth behind the incident of disappearance of Jayasingh Dhami– who went missing in the Mahakali River while crossing it via a tuin or wire crossing in Darchula– has concluded that the incident took place in the presence of the Indian Border Security Force (SSB).
The report submitted on Tuesday by the Probe Committee to Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand concluded that the incident took place in the presence of Indian Border Security Force (SSB) security personnel, according to a statement issued by the Home Ministry. The committee has also recommended that the ministry take initiative through diplomatic channels with the Indian side to investigate the incident and take legal action against the culprits and provide appropriate compensation and relief to Dhami's family.
Similarly, the Government of Nepal has been recommended to make proper arrangements for the upbringing and education of the dependent family members. The Home Ministry had earlier formed an investigation committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Janardan Gautam to probe the incident that took place on July 30.
Meanwhile, a committee formed to probe into the death of Inspector Kapil Wagle in a road accident at Bardaghat in Nawalparasi has submitted its report to the Home Minister on Tuesday stating that the accident took place due to negligence of motorcyclists Deepak Pun and late Wagle.
