Nepal records 6,952 recoveries, 4,472 new cases and 92 deaths on Monday

KATHMANDU, June 7: As many as 6,952 people recovered from COVID-19 on Monday in Nepal.

The health ministry also recorded 4,472 new cases and 92 deaths related to COVID-19 on the same day.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 12,002 PCR tests and 5,901 antigen tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 3,370 PCR tests and 1,012 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

There are currently 78,364 COVID-19 patients staying isolated at home, 7,180 in institutional isolation, 1,434 in ICUs and 397 on ventilators across the country.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,115 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 790 were detected in Kathmandu, 135 in Bhaktapur and 190 in Lalitpur districts.
