CHITWAN, June 25: The Area Police Office, Khairahani, Chitwan has destroyed a big catche of contraband marijuana.
Police confiscated and destroyed 112-kg marijuana which was found concealed at a home.

Police informed that the marijuana was put on fire Sunday on the presence of ward chairperson of Khairahani, representative of district court, district administration office and journalists.
The contraband was seized from the house of Thulimaya Tamang of Rapti municipality-11. Kharahani Police Inspector Kailash Bista shared that they arrested Thulimaya on charge of storing marijuana and have initiated investigation into this.
Bista further informed that a person involved in storing marijuana can be sentenced for 2-10 years jail-term along with penalty Rs 15,000 to Rs 100,000 according to the law.
Marijuana farming is well cultivated in Rapti and Khairahani municipality of Chitwan. RSS
