KATHMANDU, May 4: While concluding that the announcement of Prime Minister K P Oli to seek vote of confidence in the parliament is guided by a conspiracy to bypass the parliment, the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has decided to thwart any such conspiracy.
A meeting of the party's office bearers held at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deubat in Budhanilkantha on Tuesday afternoon, the NC has also decided to foil the attempt of Oli to secure vote of confidence in parliament by forging alliance with opposition parties and foil all all the conspiracies associated with this.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, NC Joint General Secretary Prakash Sharan Mahat said the meeting also denounced the move of the government to introduce ordinances even as fresh parliamentary session is scheduled to begin next week. "Our first objective is to foil the attempt of Prime Minister Oli to win vote of confidence in parliament. We will do our best to fail the attempt of Prime Minister to take vote of confidence in the parliament," he said.
The NC has already taken decision to form new government under its leadership after ousting Oli from power. The party has already expedited negotiations with CPN (Maoist Center) and Janata Samajbadi to form a coalition government under its leadership.
