KATHMANDU, March 13: Chairman of the ruling CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, through a public speech on Saturday, asked the senior leader of the party Madhav Kumar Nepal to join in the party’s central committee meeting scheduled for March 20.
Oli, who was addressing a program organized by the party’s sister organization in Kathmandu, shared that the meeting is being organized a little late so that the Nepal-led faction could join in.
“They [Nepal-led faction] have been skipping the party’s central committee meetings for a long time. They missed Friday’s meeting too. I publicly announce today that a meeting has been scheduled for March 20. It is being broadcast live. You can’t say that you were not informed.”
On the occasion, Oli warned of taking action as per the party’s statute if the leaders of the Nepal-led faction failed to attend the meeting.
