MORANG, Feb 11: A 14-year-old girl of Jahada Rural Municipality-1 was abducted and raped by two youths when she was going to the toilet at night.

According to the relatives, the girl was abducted by two youths on a motorcycle at around 9:30 pm on Monday night. They dropped the girl to her house two hours later and fled. According to police, the youths used a motorcycle with the number plate Ko 22 Pa 1816.

“I was forcibly put on a motorcycle and taken away when I came out of my house to go to the toilet,” she said. “There were two boys sitting on the street. I didn't see them. As I was alone, they forcibly shut my mouth and put me on the bike.” She said that she was taken to a cornfield at Bhediyari and was raped. The perpetrators threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident, she said.

Stating that she remembered them calling each other’s name, she said, “Dipesh Yadav and Ajay Dhobiya raped, dropped her near her home and fled.” DSP Lok Darshan Thapa, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Morang, said that the investigation has shown that the perpetrators had taken her 1.5 kilometers away from her home and raped her.
