POKHARA, Dec 5: CPN (UML) senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhal Nath Khanal has said constitution implementation and not amendment was the need of the hour. 

Addressing a program organized for selecting the players for Seventh National Sports Tournament from western developmental region here today, leader Khanal added that the nation will witness more tussle inviting foreign interference if the attention was centered to amend the constitution rather implementing it. 

He urged all political parties and people to be united for implementing the constitution. 
Former PM Khanal shared that the nation will enter in the phase of prosperity along with the implementation of the constitution; therefore, whole attention should be centered on the same. 

In another context, he urged the government to avail the necessary resources for the development of the sports sector. 

As many as 2588 players are participating in the selection round from 16 districts. RSS
