CBS announces 47,000 vacancies for enumerators and supervisors to conduct National Population and Housing Census 2021

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has announced as many as 47,000 vacancies for the positions of 39,000 enumerators and 8,000 supervisors on contract to conduct the upcoming Population and Housing Census 2021.

The country is conducting the 12th national census from June 8 to 22 with the theme of ‘My census, my participation’. This is going to be the first national census after the country adopted federalism.

The CBS has sought applications from interested candidates not later than March 24 this year. One who has obtained a bachelor's degree or equivalent can apply for the position of a supervisor whereas a 10+2 graduate can apply for the post of an enumerator. The candidates are required to attain the age of 18 and should not exceed the age 40 [45 in case of females] years.

The enumerators will be hired on contract for a month while the supervisors for a couple of months.
