KATHMANDU, Jan 9: Sailung, a hidden land of wonder in Dolakha district, is located some 120 Kilometer away from Kathmandu. It is described as one of the most famous religious and tourist destinations in the country.
Alluring mountains, unique cultures and rolling hillocks are some of many unique features of Sailung that is situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters above the sea level.
Rich in natural beauty, diverse wild flora and fauna and wilderness attracts thousands of tourists each year.
The name Sailung refers to a place that has hundreds of small hillocks in Tamang language and so is Sailung. Here are some pictures of Sailung taken by Republica Photojournalist Monika Malla:
