KATHMANDU, Dec 1: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place this afternoon as the intra-party rift within the party continues to escalate further.
The meeting will to take place at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar at 1 pm.
During the meeting, Executive Chairperson of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to present his written statement over a political report tabled by Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who is also the prime minister.
Arguing that the political paper presented by Dahal was against the principles and values of the communist party, Oli demanded withdrawing the political paper presented earlier by Dahal in the party’s Secretariat meeting. Oli termed the report tabled by Dahal as an ‘allegation paper’.
