Irrigation facility has been made available to 500 hectares of land by repairing the old canal structure and 200 hectares of land through additional new irrigation schemes.

Though Makawanpur has 62,017 hectares of cultivable land, the irrigation facility  has reached only 20,000 hectares.

Additional 1,050 hectares of land will be irrigated if the old and new irrigation schemes are completed by the end of the current fiscal year.
