KATHMANDU, Nov 1: A member of the secretariat of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Ram Bahadur Thapa, has been working to settle the party disputes.

Thapa, who is also the Minister for Home Affairs, urged PM Oli and executive chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal not to hold discussions to split the party. He separately visited PM Oli in Baluwatar and chairman Dahal in Khumaltar.

According to the party sources, Thapa floated a four-point proposal to both the chairmen which includes abiding by the decisions made by the party standing committee and avoiding calling separate meetings of factions. He also urged both the chairmen to fulfil the responsibility of implementing the decisions made and settling disputes via party secretariat, standing committee and central working committee.
