KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Police have found a 10-kg gold concealed in an air filter box of an unclaimed motorcycle.
Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC), Bouddha, found the gold in a 150 CC Pulsar motorcycle at Fulbari Area in Bouddha on Friday night.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bipin Regmi, Chief of MPC, Bouddha, two people fled the scene leaving the motorcycle, Ba 55 Pa 1772, behind, after seeing the police.
“Ten biscuits of gold were found hidden inside the air filter box of a motorcycle. Two people fled upon seeing us leaving the motorcycle behind,” DSP Regmi told Republica Online.
According to the MPC, Boudhha, the gold is priced at Rs 50 million.
Regmi said they are investigating the case and trying to identify the fugitives.
