KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Ten companies pitched their business ideas at the Enterprise Demo Day 2019 organized jointly by One to Watch and Accelerator Nepal on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the organizers, investors, business delegates and important figures from the business ecosystem in Nepal participated in the demo day.

Aero Roots, Burger Shack, Green Road Waste Management, Hajuri Khadya Udhyog, Helmets Nepal, Leaf Plus, No Chini, Onion Films, Seedland Nepal and The Mint Studio were the companies selected for the event, according to the organizers.

One of the most ambitious companies from the bunch, Leaf Plus sought an investment of US$ 350,000, the organizers say. The company currently employs 21 people and has two manufacturing units in Hetauda and Jhapa. The company, which has been annually growing at an astounding rate of 70 percent, is looking to use the funds for expansion of operations through which it hopes to produce around 60 million plastic plates per year.Similarly, companies like Khajuri Khadya Udhyog have sought $500,000. Similarly, Helmets Nepal is also seeking $500,000 for expansion of outlets and operations. Likewise, Onion Films have sought investment of $200,000 and a strong networking support among others, according to the organizers.
