PANCHTHAR, July 10: A man has died and eight others have sustained injuries in a jeep accident that took place at Oyam of Yangwarak rural municipality on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Kailash Adhikari of Yangwarak-1.

The accident took place when a jeep, Me 1 Ja 2051, heading to Birtamod from Chyangthapu skidded off the rough muddy road and fell down a stiff cliff along the Mid Hill Highway this morning.

The injured are being brought to Panchthar district hospital.
