1 killed, 8 injured in Bhaktapur road mishap

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: One person died and eight people were injured when a microbus (Ba 1 Jha 9536) hit a taxi ( Ba 2 Jha 1547) at Ghaththaghar in Bhaktapur on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as taxi driver Dinesh KC, 33 of Dolakha, Bhimeshwor-3.

Similarly, Dinesh Karki of Balkot, Sawen Tamang of Naikap, Roshan Shrestha of Ramkot, Bipin Giri of Dahachowk, Maheshwar Karki, Asadip Singh of Kupondole, Raj Shrestha of Manamaiju, and Ramesh Shrestha of Lokanthali have sustained injuries. 

The injured are undergoing treatment at Nagarik Hospital, Ghaththaghar, Bhaktapur. 

Police have launched a search operation for the microbus driver, who has been absconding after the accident.
