TANAHUN, Jan 1: A pedestrian has died while four others sustained serious injuries in a bus-car collision in the district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Hari Maya Ale, 29 of Byas rural municipality-12, Benikot. Ale, who sustained serious injuries after being hit by the bus that went out of control after colliding head-on with a car at Damauli bazaar, breathed her last in the course treatment at Metro City Hospital, Pokhara.

The incident took place when a passenger bus, Na 6 Kha 7211, heading to Sunauli from Pokhara, collided head-on with the car, Ba 9, Cha 4443, bound for Pokhara from Dumre, said District Police Office, Tanahun.
Nine-year-old daughter of Ale has been been referred to Pokhara after preliminary treatment at Ratna Hari Hospital while driver Sujan Shrestha of Dhading, Shyam Prasad Regmi of Kathmandu have been discharged after treatment at Ratna Hari Hospital.
