KATHMANDU, August 9: Action has been taken against 1,337 people for not wearing masks after the commencement of the week-long ‘Health Standard and Traffic Awareness Campaign’ jointly organized by the District Traffic Police Office and the District Police Office in Kathmandu.
According to the Traffic Police Office the traffic police have been informing vehicle drivers about the traffic rules and health standards that need to be followed for safety in public places.
During the period, leaflets related to information regarding the health safety protocols and traffic rules were distributed. . They also distributed face masks in a bid to effectively implement the mask campaign. Police have been pasting flex prints with awareness-raising information in different places across the country.
