1,255 more test positive for COVID-19, 25 patients die in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: As many as 1,255 more people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: As many as 1,255 more people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed.


Nepal has so far registered 231,978 COVID-19 cases through the 1,727,836 real time polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR) tests carried out across the country since January 23 this year.

With 1,404 COVID-19 patients recovering from the infection in the past 24 hours, the total tally of recovery in the country has advanced to 212,590, which accounts for 91.64 percent of the total cases.


Nepal on Sunday confirmed 25 more fatalities linked with COVID-19, taking the total number of deaths to 1,479. The country’s first COVID-19 death was reported on May 16.


There are currently 17,909 active cases of the disease across the country-- receiving treatment either at home or institutional isolation centers.
